Anxiety
Anxiety is weight and pressure that you are not meant to carry.
The reason I don’t have much anxiety these days is because once I start worrying about something I give it to God.
As it says in the word
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NIV
The reason I feel peace most of the time is because I present my request to God. I honestly didn’t really know what peace was until I was 30 years old.
Apostle Paul tells us exactly what to do in the book of Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
In life, we are all searching for two things. Love and peace. That is our inherent nature to be loved and to give love. Many problems and traumas we have are because of the times people didn’t act in love with us. And because of that we have anxiety of what is about to happens.
Anxiety is fear of a future outcome. Depression is a wound of a past event which causes no hope for the future.
But you see, that’s why we have Jesus a high priest! We have Jesus, he gives us hope for our future.
Jeremiah says in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future
So when we are Christian and we have depression. There are many factors but many times it’s because we feel like we have no hope. This means that our minds aren’t renewed to the word of God.
And if you’re not Christian and you have depression and anxiety, Jesus will and can help you. Accept his love today. It’s the best decision you can make in your life.
Many times, anxiety boils down to not trusting in God.
No trust in God = No peace
Spiritual Lens:
Anxiety is often rooted in a lack of trust in God’s sovereignty or timing. It can signal a heart trying to control outcomes instead of resting in God’s promises.
Before truly surrendering ny life to Christ I was in the hospital every month for anxiety attacks. Even when I was a Christian I still had a lot of anxiety because I wasn’t really praying.
Prayer is the answer to everything. With prayer comes miracles, with prayer comes answers. With prayer comes peace. Prayer is direct communication with God. You have direct access to to God through Jesus .
Imagine your body like a house. In the house there are many rooms. And he wants to clean up every room of the house not just one. What is one thing you have anxiety about or you feel pressure about?
Present that worry to God. He cares for you and he wants to help you
God bless you.
