Integrity
Today, let's talk about integrity… It's something money can't buy and must come from within. Living with integrity is a lifestyle; it means speaking your truth and being a leader even when taking control might be the path with most resistance. It means behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values and beliefs no matter the circumstances.
Integrity goes hand in hand with being unconditional; going above and beyond with no expectations of others. Integrity means sacrificing short term pleasure for long term gains. This means doing the right thing when no one is looking. Integrity is learning from mistakes and teaching others how to avoid them. Integrity is being self aware and knowing what you stand for.
I truly believe integrity is your ability to affect those around you positively. Living with integrity is being living proof of what's possible in life. Living with integrity is a life that feels good on the inside and not just one that looks good on the outside.
I felt a need to write about this ever important quality to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and of course we are only human, and sometimes make decisions that don't align with our core values… Face it, we have all been there. On our way to the top it's very tempting to go off track by judging others, not keep the promises we make to ourselves and make a wrong decision for a quick win or payday but we must take a step back and reflect and ask ourselves. Who am I? What am I doing this all for? What is my why? We are far from perfect but I try to live with Integrity everyday and I challenge you to do the same.
